The red study and research never stops: this group of Changsha party members study while walking in the city

On the bank of Qingshuitang, under a small house with white walls and black tiles, the first provincial branch of the Communist Party of China was secretly established; in a corner of the south of the city, in Hunan First Normal University, which combines oriental cultural connotations with western architectural styles, students study and serve the country, and their thoughts germinate here; at the head of Orange Island, a generation of great men stood proudly in the wind, with lofty ambitions and passion… On April 20, more than 30 party members in Changsha embarked on the red study route, welcoming the spring breeze and accompanied by birdsong, and started a “walking party class”.
The former site of the Hunan Executive Committee of the Communist Party of China in April was full of vitality, and red lotus flowers bloomed in Qingshuitang. In the Mao Zedong Poetry, Couplets and Calligraphy Art Gallery, there are more than ninety poems and calligraphy works engraved. The vigorous and powerful handwriting allows party members to feel the patriotic emotions gushing out from a poet; in the Changsha History Exhibition Hall of the Communist Party of China, party members listened to the explanations and walked from the starting point to the end point based on the pictures and texts. The tortuous but magnificent history of the Communist Party of China is condensed in this limited space and short time, but the vivid historical stories will be passed down from generation to generation.

“To be a teacher of the people, you must first be a student of the people.” “Seek truth from facts, and do not be self-righteous.” Walking into the former site of Hunan First Normal University, two large plaques, the school motto inscribed by Mao Zedong in December 1950 and the school spirit inscribed by Xu Teli in the same month, are hung on the left and right sides of the hall. Most people standing in front of the plaques carefully observe and savor them.
The party members walked into the school and went straight to the auditorium that can accommodate thousands of people. The black long tables and benches are neatly arranged, solemn and quiet. Under the guidance of the tour guide, the party members shuttled through the exhibition halls and listened to the story of Mao Zedong and the First Normal University. Young Mao Zedong studied and worked here for eight years, realizing the transformation from a patriotic student and teacher to a professional revolutionary, and from a democrat to a Marxist, which also made the First Normal University one of the sources of China’s communist movement and the new democratic revolution.

“I am from Changsha. I came here to review history and was deeply inspired. It is my spiritual food. As an enterprise, we will not forget our original intention, keep our mission in mind, learn from our predecessors, and make more contributions to the country, society and nation.” Cao Zeyun, chairman of Hunan Wanan Home Furnishing Industry Co., Ltd., told Xingchen All Media reporters that the purpose of organizing party members to study is to deeply study the party’s cultural ideas, organizational capabilities, and management capabilities, and draw strength from them.

Juzi Island was crowded with people from all over the country, and people came to take photos with the statue of young Mao Zedong. In the shade of the trees, the youth drama “The Young Comrades” was quietly performed, and the story of the predecessors’ study and exploration at Hunan First Normal University was vividly interpreted here. Next to the courtyard corridor of the First Normal University, students practiced the “Six-section Exercise” in the rain; in the library, a “Friendship Announcement” by a twenty-eight-year-old student caused heated discussions; at Cai Hesen’s home, he and his classmate’s sister taught Man Yazi to read… As the plot progressed, the party members transformed into students from different classes and were guided by the actors in the play to enter multiple scenes to participate in the interaction of various links, practicing exercises, reading, and being guests. The party members seemed to have become witnesses of that period of history.

The delicate light and shadow design, rich background music, solid dance performances by young actors and well-spoken lines constitute a colorful situational performance. The party members present were immersed in it, and their patriotic feelings and deep emotions were mobilized in the progressive plot, which lasted for a long time.
After visiting the Youth Theater of “Young Schoolmates” and feeling the charm of technology + culture, Chen Jun, Secretary and Executive Vice President of Changsha Chuhe Exhibition Co., Ltd., said: “Party building activities should actively lead enterprises to integrate new quality productivity into production and operation practices, promote the transformation of traditional industries to high-end, intelligent and green, lead manufacturing to accelerate the extension and expansion to 5G+, AI+, and Lianchuang+, develop new industries characterized by high technology, high efficiency and high quality, expand new economic fields, create new development momentum, and build new advantages for competitors.”

“The first priority of new quality productivity is ‘innovation’. We adhere to the right path and innovate to build brands, and promote the deep integration of party building and development. We, Xinhongyuan, are at the forefront of industrial development, promoting the joint construction of party building in industry, academia, research, upstream and downstream, and large, medium and small enterprises. It is our central task to realize the ‘party building chain’ to empower the ‘industrial chain’.” Yang Daqing, Party Branch Secretary and General Manager of the Sales Company of Hunan Xinhongyuan Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., said.

The essence of learning lies in practice. Changsha is a red hot land where there must be fragrant grass within ten steps. Party members stepped out of their homes, pursued new knowledge, opened the city’s history books, and felt the profound history and the power of ideas from new angles and new ways. This study activity is “moving” and more “lively”.
